About this School Project (Libs Elliott Quilt Block)
Every student at Heritage created a quilt block to be apart of our school unity quilt after learning about the Canadian textile artist Libs Elliott. She uses computer coded to help generate coded patterns that make each block and each quilt unique. This parallels with my students at Heritage: they are all different and unique! Instead of sewing students used scissors, glue and brightly colored squares and triangles to come up with their designs. This quilt will hang outside of the art room and students will get their blocks back in their portfolios at the end of the year.
