About this School Project (Cityscapes - K)
Kindergarten had so much fun making their very own cities! We began by looking at a photo of New York city and talking about what a city looked like. We talked about how tall the buildings are, how many buildings there were, how close together the buildings were, and then named some shapes we saw like rectangle, square, triangle, and circle. After we talked about all of that and drew out our cities we learned about an artist named Paul Klee and his artwork "The Castle in the Sun". We talked about the interesting and unique colors that Paul Klee used and thought what a fun idea it would be to make our cities have unique and interesting colors too! Then we got to painting!
