About this School Project (K Cityscape)
Students had a blast drawing, building, and finally collaging cityscapes. Students played eye spy to denote different aspects big and small of cities like skyscrapers, signs, and lots of buildings, windows, and details. They were even able to emphasize the sounds a city makes compared to a farm. Students used onomatopoeia to express the noisy city sounds. Finally, early finishers were also able to create cardboard vehicles. We spend some time discussing the pollution cars add to the Earth when we turn them on and exhaust (pipe cleaners) fills the clean air.
