About this School Project (2 - Paper Weaving Mat)
Students learned a little history about where weaving originated and how it is hundreds of years old. They used an A,B,C color pattern with their strips and even experienced a little multi-layer weaving to give their placemat even more visual interest. These placemats were laminated so students can use them while keeping their hard work protected from getting wet or dirty. String was also added to the ends of these placemats to give it a fringe look which was inspired by Navajo woven rugs.
