About this School Project (0K Chinese blossom painting)
Students learned about the traditional art of blossom paintings. They observed real branches and painted what they saw. They added blossoms with a paintbrush and mixed tints of red paint. Then, they signed their name with red marker in Chinese characters to resemble a signature stamp called a chop. When a translation was unavailable, they signed the word artist. Students were also encouraged to sign their name in any other language they wanted to use.
