About this School Project (Turning a kindergartner’s drawing into a story)
Students got a chance to work with kindergarten students on a project! Kindergarten students read a story about friendship in the Library with Mrs. Charlton. Then, they drew two characters who might not likely be friends in real life. (For example, a cat and a dog.) Your child was assigned one of the kindergartner’s drawings, added a background, and finished the picture. They had the challenge of turning it into a story where the two unlikely characters would either become friends or stay friends. They then typed up the story to go with the picture and will be reading it to the kindergarten student!
