About this School Project (Kindergarten Texture Alphabets)
Students learned about texture and the magic of rubbing plates! They learned how to use good control to create lots of different textures within their 28 rectangles. Once completed, students used watercolors to create a resist effect over their crayon. After looking at a few artists that use text in their work, they used either bingo daubers filled with India ink, or tissue paper squares and sharpie to write their neatest alphabet. We discussed how something as simple as writing their letters is an artform in itself!
