About this School Project (2 - Paper Plate Mandalas)
The 2nd grade students first added oil pastels to their plates and painted over it with a mixture of black paint and dish soap to create their own scratch art surface. Once dry, they used a wooden stylus to trace varying sixes of circles onto their plate. Finally, they added patterns to each of their circles to create their mandala design.
