About this School Project (Grade 3- Clay Animal Sculptures)
Students learned about Mexican Folk Art and were inspired by traditional family crafts from the valley of Oaxaca in southern Mexico. Third grade painted their own clay animal forms after viewing a video, posters and actual Oaxaca carved animal sculptures in wood and their colorful patterned painted surfaces.
