About this School Project (5th grade Linear Perspective Block Letters)
5th graders learned about one-point perspective, and how to draw letters and numbers that look three-dimensional.
First, students practiced drawing a 3D cube, above and below their chosen vanishing point. Next, they practiced creating block letters and making those letters look like they extend into space. Last, they practiced making an entire word look three-dimensional.
For their final project, students choose a word to draw three-dimensionally using a one-point perspective. Details could be added to the background if desired, and colored Sharpie, markers and watercolor paints were used to add color.
