About this School Project(Grade 3- “The Great Wave”)
Students viewed a famous woodblock print by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai in 1831 called “The Great Wave”. It was the first print in a series of 36 views of Mount Fuji. Third graders created their own mixed media version of a “Great Wave”.
