About this School Project (Grade 6 - Illustrated Animals)
Indi Maverick is a Mexican contemporary graphic designer and is well-known for a series of animal portraits where each animal is personified, or takes on qualities of a person. Students practiced drawing animals by looking for shapes and lines and drawing from observation. Each student chose a unique animal to draw personified with winter apparel. Color was used to contrast the accessories with the black and white of the animal. Pattern and lines created texture for each animal's fur, feathers or scales.
