About this School Project (1st story quilts in the style if Faith Ringgold)
Students learned about the artist Faith Ringgold, best known for her story quilts. We read the book, "Dinner at Connie's House," by Ringgold. They drew a picture from their everyday life and surrounded it with a cut scrapbooking paper border to simulate a quilt. Colored pencils for skin colors were generously provided by a grant from the East Lansing Educational Foundation in 2023.
