About this School Project (1st Grade - Pointillism Sea Creature)
Students learned about pointillism and the artwork of Georges Seurat. They learned that through the magic of optical blending, artists can put small dots of colors next to each other and our eyes will blend them together to create new color mixes as we view the artwork. They created paintings of sea creatures using this pointillism technique.
