About this School Project (K- Paul Klee Castle Collage)
Students looked at the artwork of Paul Klee titled "Castle and Sun" and pointed out various shapes used in the painting. Students created a collage of a castle using squares and rectangles using construction paper and glue. The next day, students learned how to cut squares and rectangles into new shapes such as triangles, circles, and smaller rectangles. Once the collage was complete, students used oil pastels to add patterns to the shapes for an added personal touch.
