About this School Project (Big Rainbows)
Students learned the correct order of the color wheel for this giant rainbow lesson! We also talked about the color indigo and learned it is very close to the color blue-violet. ROY G BIV is the acronym for all the colors in the rainbow and we watched a fun video to help us remember. We used large black Bingo daubers to draw curved lines to start and then painted the appropriate colors in the correct color order. We are reviewing how to paint with tempera paint and that we have to wipe our brushes on a paper towel after we wash them. The next class, we cut out our rainbows and added some paper clouds as well as additional patterns on top of the colors. These are so beautiful!
