Artist Statement (what HaddenS1 said about their artwork)
My highest stack was 5 blocks. My shortest stack was 4 blocks dark blue on the bottom,on top of that was the light blue block,then another light blue, then a dark blue block, then I put a teal block.
About this School Project (Balanced Stack of Forms)
Balance is a Principle of art. 4th grade looked at different types of balance: symmetrical, asymmetrical, radial, and physical. They focused on physical balance and viewed a video about Adrian Gray a stone balancing artist who makes free-standing natural sculptures. The students stacked irregular blocks and documented their work with Poplet.
