About this School Project (bare bones: final construction)
With the three drawings complete and ready, it’s now time to mix up the media and play with size variation. Begin to view the bones as separate from one another, and if needed redraw different sections or add new media. Students will then cut or tear out the bones. Students will create five thumbnail sketches of different compositions using their already-completed and now cut-out drawings. Students will then hold a sketchbook conference to decide which composition(s) they will create. There are no size or surface requirements, only that they must be multimedia and that they must combine different drawings into one piece. Advanced Art will make at least one final piece, and AP Studio Art will make at least three final pieces. Students are encouraged to make more observational drawings of skulls if needed, and further refine the ones they have already created.
