Artist Statement (what Emerson4516 said about their artwork)

My favorite part is the words. I used oil pastels and pastels. I added little drawings and color.

About this School Project (Wayne The Wildcat! Portrait)

Students learned about the artist Dean Russo and designed and drew their own version of our Wayne Thomas school wildcat mascot. Students then used chalk pastels to add bright analogous colors and blended them to make them permanent using liquid starch. Oil pastel doodles and designs were added on top as well as powerful words that best describe our school.
