About this School Project (2nd: Picasso Rooster)
Students learned about Spanish Artist, Pablo Picasso and his wacky abstract paintings. He used vivid colors, geometric shapes, and lines in his paintings to make things more interesting....he always said things that look realistic are boring. He created an abstract style called cubism. We looked at the painting The Roaster, 1938 and mimicked his colors and movements with our own brids. Students used oil pastels to color on their choice of a colored construction paper background.
