About this School Project (Warm & Cool Hearts and Stars)
Students look at the vibrant, colorful artworks created by Miami based Pop artist, Romero Britto. They break down the elements of his artworks: bold lines, bright colors, patterns, and simple shapes.
Students create a large shape on their paper and divide it into smaller sections. After learning about warm/cool colors and contrast, students add colors into the shapes in their artworks using tempera paint sticks and finish their work by adding the bold outline with an India ink filled bingo dauber.
Fun Fact: Do his works look familiar? You’ve probably seen one of his works before, he is the most licensed artist in history!
