About this School Project (Mexican Serape Blanket)
ABOUT MEXICAN BLANKETS
A MEXICAN BLANKET, also called a SERAPE, is a warm shawl that is brightly colored and fringed. It is both a blanket and an article of clothing that is worn by some people, mostly men, in MEXICO. The blanket is woven and has traditional designs and bright bands of color. Some serapes have holes in the center so they can be worn like a poncho.
Project Goals:
Today I will learn about MEXICAN BLANKETS so that I CAN create a paper version of this MEXICAN textile.
Today I will learn about LINE so that I CAN draw different types of lines to decorate my blanket.
Today I will learn about TEXTURE so that I CAN cut the ends of my blanket so it has FRINGE that feels fluffy.
