About this School Project (6th. Silhouettes)
Students began with learning how to create tints with paint. A tint is any color plus white. They were to create 5 to 7 different values from a color of their choosing. We then discussed John Marshall and his art. We practiced doing a few silhouettes with oil pastel before working on our final project. The goal with oil pastel was to get a solid shadow and minimal amounts of smudging.
