About this School Project (Guided drawings)
Students followed along with a recorded video or Ms. Gosses focusing on lines, shapes, and the amount of space they take up. Guided drawings allow students to practice drawing with the help of an adult identifying the types of lines and shapes. Similar to learning to write your letters, repeated practice helps build up muscle memory and skills! As students gain confidence in drawing lines and shapes of various sizes to make different drawings, they realize they can independently identify the lines and shapes they want and they do not need a video or a teacher to help them every time.
Students are working toward the following Ohio Visual Art Standards while creating guided drawings:
K.3PE Communicate an idea using the elements of art.
2.3PE Produce works that intentionally incorporate the elements of art.
