“Sunrise Hike” is a pencil and colored pencil drawing of the sun rising over a mountain range, footprints in the snow, and my name hanging from a tree. I used warm colors for the sunrise and cool colors for the mountain and the snow. I used colored pencils for most of the drawing and then I used pencils for my name and to shade in the mountain range and the snow. I drew my name hanging from a tree because I like to climb trees. The first thing I did in the process of creating the “Sunrise hike” drawing was drawing my name then, I drew a hill covered in snow with a tree on top next, I drew a mountain range and footprints in the snow and finally, I drew the sunrise. I decided to use colored pencils instead of markers because they blend well. Blending the colored pencil to make the sunrise worked well. I didn’t encounter any problems during the process of making the “Sunrise hike” drawing. Once I went on a sunrise hike with my family for my birthday and that is what inspired to make the background a sunrise over the mountains. I want people to see how cool the sunrise looks over a mountain range and maybe decide that they want to go on a sunrise hike. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate my drawing an 8 because there is always room to improve or add more to a drawing.
