About this School Project (Fall Landscape)
We learned the Art Vocabulary word: Landscape.
We talked about how a still-life and landscape are different.
I showed the students several photos and paintings of Fall trees. We named all the colors we saw and why we think Fall is called Fall. Most agreed it was because the leaves ‘fall’.
I introduced new paint sticks and showed the students how to use the paint sticks to create grass and tree trunks. Some students added branches to their trees.
We used watercolor paints to add dots of color to look like Fall leaves. Once all the leaves were done, we filled in the rest of the paper with blue paint to look like the sky peeking through.
They turned out beautiful!
