Artist Statement (what Isabela1255 said about their artwork)
The title of my artwork is Christmas Presents. I named it this because when I was making it I thought of the excitement of wrapping presents a few nights before christmas. My artwork has stuff symbolizing presents: ribbons, a present box, a stocking. I also added bells and ornaments to show cheer that Christmas is coming, because these items remind me of Christmas.
About this School Project (Grade 6 - Christmas Card Illustrations)
Each year students at JPII Prep Division (5th - 8th grades), create Christmas Card Illustrations. A few illustrations from each grade level are selected to be printed and sold by the school. Students began the creative process of designing a Christmas Card by thinking of their own memories & favorite experiences of the Christmas Celebration!!! This year 6th graders looked at the artwork of Marc Chagall to inspire their faux Stained Glass Christmas Card Illustrations.
