About this School Project (Grade 4- Shells and Patterns)
Students created observational contour line drawings of a variety of shell shapes placed in different directions within the space of the page, these became the positive shapes in the composition. They followed the pencil lines with black sharpie and watercolor colored pencils. Using thin brushes and water the students dragged the color into the shell shapes. Lastly the students created colorful patterns in the background or negative space using colored sharpie markers.
