Artist Statement (what Eric16747 said about their artwork)
My favorite part of this artwork is the rainbow background. The least favorite is the lines around it. I don't have an inspiration. If I were to make this again I would make the lines around have better colors because it currently has unusual colors which I don't like, however I still like this artwork alot.
About this School Project (Line Dinosaurs)
Students compared and contrasted the artworks of Stephanie Shirley and Darren Pearson (DariusTwin). They identified and described how the artists used various Elements of Art, and we focused on their use of Line. Students created a colorful background for their dinosaurs using bleeding tissue paper and water. Students were challenged to use a variety of lines to create their dinosaur and then used concentric contour lines to create their "glowing" background on black paper.
