Artist Statement (what Noortje6 said about their artwork)
My favorite part of this ART work is probably the fruits. I really feel like the fruits stand out in color and they look fun. My least favorite part of this ART work, are the sticks. I feel like they were pretty unorganized and different sizes. I didn’t have a inspiration behind this ART work but, I used this candy because one of my friends kept handing them out constantly to everyone. If I could redo this project I would change the layers of the sticks. I got very confused on what stick was on top of another so it looked pretty messy. So, in the future I would improve that. I think that I learned a lot from this project. I learned a lot about how to use colored pencils better, and how to make my drawing more realistic. Well, honestly this is probably the best ART creation I’ve ever made. I was pretty surprised on how it turned out and I’m pretty proud of it too. To create this ART work I had to start with drawing on gridded paper to plan out my ART work. I drew a practice sketch with pencil and then traced it onto my final sheet with a red ball point pen. After that, there’s a light line of the tracing on the final paper. Then, I started coloring and adding more details to my drawing. Once I was finished I put a black border on my ART work, and finished it.
About this School Project (Candy Drawings)
Students learned about the rule of thirds and how to use color to create vibrant images. Students photographed different types of colorful candy and drew their favorite using colored pencil.
