About this School Project (Learner Profile Attribute Art: Feeling Balanced)
Students reflected times they have felt unbalanced during the school day: feeling too frustrated, energetic, stressed, etc. They then identified the elements of art (colors, lines, shapes, values, textures, form) that represented feeling balanaced. Students had different perspectives on which elements matched the learner profile attribute balanced and chose what made sense to them as an artist! These are their visual representations of feeling balanced. Many students created the principle of design balance as they were expressing how it felt!
Students were working toward the following Ohio Visual Art Standards:
