About this School Project (Lines + Rainbows)
Kindergarten students practiced simple art room routines with this beginning project. They created the background using bleeding tissue paper and oohed and aahed as the colors bled together. We then learned about the magical elf named ROY G BIV and how he can help us remember the order of the rainbow. Students were asked to use paint sticks to create a large rainbow with all the colors in order. Finally, students learned about different types of lines and chose which type they would like to use to create a frame for their artwork.
