About this School Project (STM POSTER Contest - 2022-23)
Our students have been in tough competition with each other over this year's winning entrees for our annual IN-SCHOOL Poster Contest. Their task is to depict this year's theme song, "We Are St.Thomas More!" The song was written by one of our own, very talented, Music teachers from the past, Mr. Matt MacLarney. The top 3 students from each homeroom who BEST ILLUSTRATE the song lyrics will receive the prestige of having their artwork laminated, and put on display the remainder of the year throughout our school hallways. First Place Winning Posters will be somehow marked as such. The Contest is run in conjunction with a Button Contest which also BEST illustrates the Theme Song, only in button form. All winners will have extra buttons and each student (and teacher) in the school will receive a button. Students and teachers proudly wear these buttons all year, as the Christian Values emphasized in the song are practiced throughout the school year. The students eagerly learn the lyrics, as the song generally is incorporated into our school assemblies. As you can see, there is some tough competition this year at all grade levels! WAY TO GO STUDENTS! And THANK YOU again, Mr. MacLarney!!!
