About this School Project (K - “C” is for collage; “D” is for dot)
Students looked at artwork by Kandinsky, who often used circles and dots in his abstract work. They first created a collage by gluing paper circles to their larger paper. We talked about how to say “dot, dot, not a lot” when using liquid glue. Next, they practiced drawing circles in the air with their finger, and with a pencil on the back of their paper. Finally, they used oil pastels to draw circles on top of their dot collage.
