About this School Project (Grade Kindergarten - Exploring Lines Using Warm Colors - Sunny Days)
In the first part of the lesson, students again experimented with a paint brush and cake tempera paint.. They reviewed cleaning a paint brush to change colors. They also practiced using the brush in different ways to create a variety lines. During this part of the lesson, they created a non objective artwork that shows expressive lines.
In the second part of the lesson, the students reviewed that artists often use color to express ideas. They leaned that artists often use red, orange and yellow colors to express ideas about things that are warm or hot. They then used their newly practiced painting skills to paint a picture that shows a picture that showed a warm sunny day or something that is warm or hot..
