Artist Statement (what Annie4118 said about their artwork)
I created shape by sketching the frog and mushrooms in pen, then i colored it with alcohol marker. Next, i created space by sketching the tree and mushrooms in pencil, then i did the lineart, prior to erasing the pencil. Then i colored it with alcohol marker. Shape shows the art element shape because the mushrooms and the rocks and the frog are all organic shapes. Space shows the art element space because it has a feeling of depth because of the faint mushrooms in the background.
About this School Project (Elements of Art Zine)
Students folded an eight page zine (short for magazine) to make an informational pamphlet about the elements of art. They used their hand lettering and layout skills to neatly arrange their information. Illustrations are all student-made. Students made artist trading cards for several weeks and were able to trade cards and curate their art in their zines.
