About this School Project (Kindergarten 1st Day of Art Self-Portraits)
Kindergarten artists were asked to draw a "self-portrait," a picture of themselves so we could remember what they looked like on their first day of art class! This drawing will help us see the progress students make from the start of the school year as they have time to explore with materials, practice drawing techniques, and learn to look for the lines and shapes of what they want to draw. It is okay if their self-portrait includes elements that aren't reflective of what they actually look like, as color choices and other details can also reflect who we are! This drawing helps Ms. Gosses know what their current drawing knowledge and interests are so that future lessons can fit the students' needs & strengths!
