About this School Project (Initials: Grade 2)
Students traced the first letter of their first names with a pencil. Next students used watercolor (wet on wet) to paint their letters while trying to stay within the lines. Then students outlined their letters following the watercolor line with a Sharpie marker. Finally students used an extra fine Sharpie to trace the lines within the letters paying close attention to changes in value and following the color as it traveled around their letters. Each color spread easily using the wet -on-wet watercolor technique.
