Artist Statement (what elisabet55 said about their artwork)
To create this piece various reference pictures of arcade machines and game screens of certain games like Pac-Man, Joust, and Tetris. This was chosen because those little arcade corners in places like the local skate center or Cici's pizza are enjoyable. Chuck E. Cheese's, Laser Tag, and Dave and Busters also have arcade machines. Many of my friends' names are written or slightly hidden around the arcade machines. Their locations and items around them say a lot about everyone's relationship with each other and myself. The materials used were alcohol based markers and sharpie. The markers were used to color the whole thing and the sharpie markers were used to outline and color in black areas. The portfolio cover is 11.5 x 18.
