About this School Project (Joan Miro Inspired Abstract Paintings)

Our Second Grade artists looked at the fun, abstract paintings of Joan Miro and had fun picking out the "clues" that let us know we were looking at a Miro...(ask your second graders what those clues are!). The students then created their OWN Miro style paintings using organic shapes to create fun little "critters", painting them with watercolor and then using splatter technique (using a toothbrush!) to add color to the background.
