I made origami boats on an ocean. My Artwork shows space and value
About this School Project (1st Grade - Value Oceans)
Students learned about the Element of Art - Value. Value is light and dark colors in a work of art. Students then mixed tempera paint to make two tints and a shade of the blue hue. Students then learned about the Element of Art - Space. Space is showing distance in a work of art. Students then folded three different sized origami boats and glued them to their value scale ocean showing that things get smaller, less detailed and lighter in color as they get farther away.
