About this School Project (Japanese cherry blossoms in a vase)
3rd & 4th grade artists learn some facts about Japanese cherry blossoms such as how Japan imported thousands of trees to the US in the early 1900s as a gift. Many are planted around Washington DC and offer a spectacular display in the early spring. We had fun designing a vase, and learning the dry and wet brush techniques to achieve the defined textures seen in our masterpieces. Happy spring!!
