About this School Project (Flyover Line Sculpture - 2nd)
Students looked at David Black’s “Flyover” sculpture in Dayton, Ohio, which represents the movement of the Wright Brother’s first 12 second flight in their airplane. They made cuts into paper strips and folded and glued them down onto a large paper. They could create an abstract design or try to represent something from real life. The students were encouraged to move their lines in different ways on their paper.
