Artist Reflection
My name is Allison Heaslip. I am in Turquoise Room. My favorite medium to work with is clay or India ink. What I discovered about myself in art this year is that that I like using bigger brushes when painting. My favorite art project this year was sewing the Felt Friends.
About this School Project ((Turquoise) Camouflage Chameleon)
For this artwork students practiced drawing both representationally and non representationally. They explored using chalk pastels and their blending qualities to create a patterned background. They practiced drawing a chameleon (or another animal of their choosing) using basic shapes. They used similar concentric shapes to color their chameleons (or another animal of their choosing) before cutting it out and gluing to the background.
