I worked very hard on this drawing. The stem was kind of hard because it was very twisty and the pumpkin had lots of lines.
About this School Project (Third and Fourth Pumpkins)
These sketches were drawn in observation of a pumpkin I brought in, in preparation for a project scheduled for next quarter. They practiced feather-light pencil drawing and seeing the contour lines and shapes. The images' contrast was digitally enhanced to better view the light pencil sketches.
The follow-up watercolor project is also featured, with lines drawn where they saw changes in value, the lightness or darkness of color.
