About this School Project (Seagulls Inspired by Hans Innemee-1st)
After watching a read aloud video of the book, Chip by Kylie Howarth students learned about Dutch artist, Hans Innemee and viewed his work of seagulls. Students then designed their own seagull image in Innemee's style. Next class, students transferred their design onto a styrofoam printing plate. They used white printing ink to print their design on black paper. When the ink was dry they added chalk color for the beaks, sky, and sand.
