About this School Project (Clementine Hunter Flowers)
Students learned about African-American self-taught artist Clementine Hunter. After comparing and contrasting her various zinnia still life paintings, students painted their own bouquet of flowers. We discussed ways to draw a variety of flowers and vases. We also talked about how to use watercolors without them bleeding into a muddy mess. Students were pleased with their results!
