About this School Project (Peruvian Chukka)
A Peruvian Chukka is a large platter or plate made by hand on a potters wheel and meticulously painted with cultural designs and symbols in detailed concentric ring patterns. Each plate demonstrates great skill and craftsmanship and echos the traditions and history of ancient Peru. In this project, students selected their own colors and patterns to create a "chukka" from construction paper with an emphasis on a variety of color and pattern.
