About this School Project (1st grade Holiday Trees)
Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree! Most of our 1st graders celebrate Christmas and have a Christmas Tree at home. We did talk about all the other holidays celebrated at this time of year to recognize those special traditions as well. This festive project was created with painted papers, recycled papers, and some printed paper. Students decorated the background with white colored pencil. For our first grade students who are from Saudi Arabia or India or those who celebrate Dewali, Hanukkah or another holiday, the students turned their strips of paper the other way and made various candles with glowing flames.
