About this School Project (1st grade My Mural from Maybe Something Beautiful)
Students listened to the story "Maybe Something Beautiful". Then, we brainstormed ideas for a mural we could have in our school. Students were introduced to local muralists. We used a thinking routine to discuss reasons why people create murals. Our young artists made a mini mural on paper using pencil, permanent marker and painted portions with watercolor. Some added themselves painting in the picture too!
